Job Objective(s): Do you want to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors? If so, this is the job for you. As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you are responsible for assisting the Life Enrichment Director in leading a variety of activity programs designed to meet the resident's social, physical, mental, emotional, and sensory needs. You will mostly be working with residents in our secure memory care. Qualifications Preferred activities experience in independent retirement, assisted living, memory care, adult day services, or long-term care facility serving a senior population. Willing to train individuals with a passion for working with seniors. Valid Class C Driver's License and acceptable driving record. You will need to be comfortable taking residents on outings in a 14-passenger bus. Prior experience driving a bus is not required, training will be provided. Ability to use basic Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) computer programs. Creative and problem-solving skills Group leadership and interpersonal skills to lead one on one, small, and large group activities. Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a resident's best interest. Strong organizational skills. Good work ethic and time management skills. Maintains resident confidentiality and HIPPA standards. Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak, and understand English. Job Responsibilities and Duties . Responsible for assisting Life Enrichment Director with planning, promotion, and facilitating/leading scheduled programming. Consistently chart in communication log and one-to-one tracking logs. Support the development of a monthly Activity Calendar of Events. Lead small, large, and one on one activity programs with seniors. Accompany residents on field trips as assigned. Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming. Report maintenance needed bus interior and exterior in a timely manner. Report maintenance needs in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned.
