This position provides administrative support and dispatch coordination for Campus Safety. Coordinates Department recordkeeping, and assists in preparation of Campus Safety documents and annual reports. Must be able to function independently, maintain and coordinate Campus Safety processes, train personnel on office and dispatch procedures, supervise and schedule student workers. This is a full time, on-campus position, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administration and record keeping; provide confidential support to Campus Safety Director and Campus Safety Supervisors; assist in preparing annual department reports and Cleary reports; tracking and reconciling purchases; distribute and maintain key inventory; process records for parking and vehicle safety programs; maintain incident reports, call logs, and other vital records.
  • Communications and operational support; serve as lead dispatcher; provide frontline reception for all physical, phone and email inquiries; train and supervise student workers in reception and dispatch; operate IWU switchboard and communication resources, train personnel in Campus Safety communication resources; maintain realtime contact and dispatches officers.
  • Security and emergency response support; monitor camera, phone and access control systems as needed for incident response; remotely support officers, log and track activities, and ensures key information is logged and relayed to appropriate parties; escalate information and communications to site supervisor, Campus Safety Director, or other parties as appropriate during and after incident response
  • Customer service; issue and replace University IDs; coordinate and implement badging processes for move-ins; issue and maintain parking passes and parking registry.
