General Maintenance Technician

 

Location: Southeast Michigan

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience: Preferred 5yrs. experience and relative educational training for maintaining a manufacturing facility and machine maintenance consistent with the responsibilities listed above.

  • Computer Skills: Advanced

  • Certificates and Licenses: Minimum OSHA 10 Certification. Licensed to operate a Forklift and a Manlift (vertical and articulating).

  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

  • Other Requirements: N/A

Position Type: Full time direct "perm", 100% onsite

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for oversight of Shelbey Township, Michigan facilities. This includes plumbing, electrical, lighting, furniture, and general maintenance items.

 

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Schedules and maintains necessary building inspections to keep buildings compliant with city codes.
  • Perform diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
  • Perform industrial electrical troubleshooting/repair/installation.
  • Perform PLC programming/troubleshooting.
  • Perform robot programming/troubleshooting.
  • Develop and perform preventative maintenance procedures and maintain appropriate history logs for all equipment.
  • Understand, implement, and use lock-out tag-out (LOTO) procedures for all relative equipment.
