Heritage Environmental Services, LLC Tech Services Technician/Travel in Benton, Arkansas

Benton, AR, USA | Hourly | Tech Services-Benton | Full Time

Primary Purpose

Responsible for assisting the Tech Services Manager and or Field Chemist in the segregation of chemicals by DOT hazardous class and/or RCRA hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

  • Responsible for ensuring safety procedures are followed and are top priority.

  • Assist Tech Services Manager and or Field Chemist to customer sites for waste pick ups , segregation of chemicals by hazardous class.

  • Loads supplies needed for job completion and travels to various industry, laboratory, and school sites to perform lab pack services.

  • Utilize thorough knowledge of storing and processing procedures based on Customer's SOPs and Heritage's protocols.

  • Operate a fork truck, skid-steer with attachments.

  • Completes necessary paperwork for shipment of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Travel up to 75 % of the time will be required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some science courses preferred.

Experience: 1 year of related experience required.

Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Good working knowledge of EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations required. Good knowledge of general industry practices required. Ability to lift 60 pounds. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirator. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
