Global Category Procurement Manager Computer and Electronics Equipment - Temporary
As Global Category Procurement Manager for Computer and Electronics, you’ll develop and communicate the global procurement strategy for Computers and Electronic Equipment, spanning multiple divisions, franchises and locations. You will drive compliance to our preferred supply base and purchasing channels to achieve saving goals. Finally, you’ll manage the multi-year procurement plan and respective contracts for your category.
Responsibilities
Identify the need for and select new suppliers
Manage supplier performance, innovation contribution and continuous improvement of supply base
Prepare and execute Request for Information (RFI’s), Request for Quote (RFQ’s), and negotiations; ensure timely and compliant implementation of new contracts and manage supplier agreements throughout contract life
Identify and drive procurement projects to deliver cost savings
Perform analysis of market conditions (supply market trends, macroeconomic indicators, regulatory changes, etc.) and supply base to identify and address potential risks and opportunities
Employ a total delivered cost framework and approach to achieve total value improvement
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers (strategic vendor management)
Build relationships and partner closely with key business stakeholders (e.g. Product Management, R&D, Manufacturing) to understand and address current and future business requirements, strategy, challenges, opportunities
Communicate overall market & category trends/results to management and stakeholders
Contribute to the definition/implementation of best in class tools, procedures, process, spend management & classification, and other projects led by the COE
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Electronics or a related field
An MBA and / or a certification in Procurement would be a plus
Experience in medical/pharma industry would be a plus
6+ years’ experience in Procurement Category Management in an international, multi-site organization; experience working closely with Operations is a strong plus
Well-founded experience in developing strategic, multi-year, multi-million EUR supply relationships
Proven success in leading multiple projects & priorities
Excellent commercial instincts & business acumen with strong negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented attitude
Ability to develop strategic, high business impact supply relationships with a proven track record in delivering cost savings/results
Excellent communication skills in English (min. C1) and German (min. C1)
Exceptional relationship-building skills and cultural sensitivity; ability to adapt communication style to a wide range of stakeholders
Very strong drive for results combined with flexibility and adaptability
