Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Terminal Attendant to join our team in Bellingham, WA.  As a Terminal Attendant, you will be responsible for the professional completion of all production related activities at the cement terminal.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Participate in company health and safety program and adhere to all policies and procedures

  • Operate finish mill

  • Load bulk cement tanker trucks

  • Operate front end loader

  • Maintenance on plant equipment (i.e. mobile equipment, pumps, compressors, working steel piping, changing valves, miscellanies welding and fabricating, etc.)

  • Treat all drivers, customers, coworkers, contractors, and visitors with dignity and respect

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Effective communications and ability to work as a productive team member

  • Fundamental record keeping and computer skills required

  • Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision and be a team player

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Capable of learning through on-the-job training

  • Good attendance and punctuality a must.

  • Must have the physical ability to:  climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain

  • Must be able to work flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends, and nights may be required.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Preference will be given to applicants with a mechanical background

  • Forklift and loader experience

  • Welding/cutting

  • $34.00 - $45.00 / hour
