THE ROLE Firewalk Studios is looking for a QA Director who is interested in applying their skills to help bring exceptional entertainment to millions of players. As our QA Director, you will be responsible for driving our overall vision for quality assurance and testing strategy for the studio. You will be driving our test plans and schedule, managing our QA team, internal and external, and responsible for the overall quality of our game. You will foster a culture of empowered testers that confidently drive quality lockstep with the dev team. WHO YOU ARE Understands and will champion the importance of quality assurance for creating a quality game. Excited to develop QA as an empowered discipline in the eyes of the studio. Comfortable with ambiguity and resource constraints in a startup environment and still able to make incremental progress. Proficient in commonly used tools for tracking defects, crashes, error logs etc. required for analysis of the game quality. You are familiar with QA processes that include compliance, localization, dev ops, and automation testing etc. Understand and champion the importance of quality assurance for creating a quality game. Excited to develop QA as an empowered discipline in the eyes of the studio. Comfortable with ambiguity in a startup environment. Care deeply about creating and fostering healthy and strong teams.
