Ridgeview Medical Center RN Clinic Triage in Belle Plaine, Minnesota

Purpose of Job: This casual position is responsible for the telephone assessment of patient condition and determining appropriate treatment for patient under the supervision of the provider. Job Functions: Assists in developing and maintaining appropriate triage system/protocols. Screens patient phone calls for urgency of need and prioritizes stat requests. Advises patient of treatment when appropriate according to clinic policy. Consults with provider or schedules appointment when needed. Maintains educational material for patients and staff. Provides patient care when necessary to assist clinical personnel. Performs room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day. Develops, maintains and updates standing orders with providers. Follow refill request guidelines. Assist with patient related activities as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
