This role will perform all duties necessary to the efficient operation in accordance with standard work and building procedures.

  1. Setup and operate various equipment/machines in the department

  2. Maintaining the machine and equipment

  3. Reading basic English and interpreting prints

  4. Must be able to inspect work and perform a First and Last Piece Check

  5. Inspection of material (looking for defects on parts)

  6. Material Handling

  7. Meet productivity requirements

  8. Exercise good housekeeping in work area 5S plus Safety

  9. Support and participate in Parker’s “Lean” initiatives. Keep work area, clean and organized.

  10. Follow safety requirements and promotes sound safety practices; report all accidents and unsafe conditions and wear all Personal Protective Equipment.

    Education required:

    Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent required

    Experience:

    Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  11. Proficient math and measuring skills

  12. Cooperative, positive can-do attitude

  13. Ability to read blueprints and use various measuring tools such as calipers and other gages

  14. Must become certified as “Trained” within probationary period

  15. Self-Directed with ability to work independently with little direction from

    supervisor
  16. Able to effectively communicate with other.

    Skills/Competencies:

  17. Computer experience to locate and enter information via computer

    Physical Requirements:

  18. Exert 25 pounds of force seldom, and/or

  19. Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force sometimes.

  20. Exert up to 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  21. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.

  22. Stand, walk, push, pull reach overhead and bend to the floor.

    Other Skills:

    Ability to work well in a team environment.

    Assessment:

    Employee must pass pre-employment screening.

    The employee may be subject to:

    · High noise levels from operating machines and equipment.

    · Physical hazards from being around machines and moving items.

  23. Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)

  24. Flexibility in working both at the desk and walking the shop floor.

  25. Overtime may be required.
