The Collaborative: A Healing Centered Community at University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, caring, and team-oriented Contingent Category II Community Program Manager. *The selected candidate will apply specialized and theoretical knowledge, principles, and concepts to manage the daily operations for the program. The candidate will supervise community partners focusing on community outreach, case management, and violence prevention. This position will report to the Community Program Director.    The mission of The Collaborative is to prevent, intervene, and heal from trauma and violence in all forms. We accomplish our mission through partnerships between grassroots, non-profits, city agencies, and institutes of higher education by engaging in service provision, education, and research.   *Benefits Information UMB offers a comprehensive benefits package that prioritizes wellness, work/life balance, and professional development. Coordinates the daily activities and staff functions to ensure the highest quality programming for all participants. Provide solutions to issues and judgment outside of pre-established guidelines or processes. * Sets goals and creates tactics to achieve program objectives. Hires and trains staff as needed. * Plans and coordinates daily activities related to violence prevention, including developing protocols of service in compliance with regulations and program work plans in accordance with specifications and funding limitations in order to shape the program. * Supervises, trains, schedules, and evaluates professional, research, and/or case managers. * Oversees record keeping, data collection, management, and analysis. Prepares and presents program reports. * Coordinates and assists in training programs for violence prevention initiatives. * Identifies and pursues outside funding sources. Research grants and participates in grant writing. * Performs other duties as assigned. Education:Bachelor's degree. Degree in social sciences, such as social work or psychology preferred. Master's degree may be required based on associated licensure. Experience:Four (4) years of experience involving program planning and coordination experience, preferably in community or university setting. Experience in violence prevention and case management highly preferred. Supervisory Experience:Two (2) years of work coordination, training, or supervision. Certification/Licensure:Licensure may be required based on the nature of the program, such as Licensed Master Social Work - (LMSW) or Licensed Certified Social Worker Clinical (LCSW-C) in the State of Maryland. Other:No substitution of experience for minimum education requirement. In cases where Master's degree is required it will not substitute for equivalent required years of related experience. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to support a mission and strategic vision. Instructional, training, and teambuilding skills to strengthen and cultivate relationships. Skill in consultation and change management.
