SOS International LLC Construction Scheduler/Planner (OCONUS) in Baghdad, Iraq, Iraq

Overview

* This position is contingent upon a contract award *

SOSi is seeking a Construction Planner/Scheduler to support a large Base Operations Support (BOS) program providing operations & maintenance (O&M) support services to our U.S. government customer in Iraq. This position is responsible for developing and providing schedules for all projects being planned and performed by the Projects and Renovations Crew (PRC). The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Essential Job Duties

  • According to PRC projects priorities, develops production schedule for all projects.

  • Produce schedules for fabrication, installation, and repair of all systems related to PRCprojects.

  • Correlate project schedules to align with client forecasted master schedule.

  • Update client through accepted and sponsored software.

  • Analyzes production specifications and construction data and performs mathematical calculations to determine material, tools, and human resources requirements for the schedule.

  • Plans and develops workflow for each craft and operations according to the previouslyestablished client sequences and lead times.

  • Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other operations for guidance ofconstruction workers.

  • Confer with FM and PRC management to determine status of projects.

  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseenconditions.

  • Prepares production reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education is required.

  • Five (5) years verifiable experience scheduling facilities related to renovation and construction projects.

  • Microsoft Project Certification.

  • Valid driver's license from home of record.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities atan overseas facility.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at agiven time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.

  • Expert computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.

  • Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management.

  • Relevant overseas contract experience.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio.

  • Previous work experience in hard environmental conditions.

  • Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desired, but not required.

Work Environment

  • Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable or hazardous at times.

  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.

  • Requires periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.

  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
