AppleCare Digital is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital Product Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on digital product experiences, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, engaging, and user-friendly. Your primary responsibilities will include applying modern Product Design methodologies in the creation of design artifacts (flows, journeys, wires, mocks, prototypes, specs), and collaborating closely with product management and engineering teams to bring designs to life. As a Product Designer, you will play a critical role in every stage of the process, from conceptualization to implementation, always with the goal of enhancing key metrics through improved usability and interaction with our support products.

Description

Your work will focus on pursuing complex problems within a portfolio of high impact Digital Support experiences across a variety of modes from traditional web to spatial computing. You will define and align on problem statements and genuine user needs while collecting and synthesizing background information from all likely sources. You will challenge your own thinking through engaged debate and collaboration, and create concepts that show the breadth of your thinking. You have the ability to handle your own time and stay on top of things. It will be important to show your work, keep it organized and logical, while eliminating confusion and getting to the bottom of issues quickly. Product Design: Creating user-centered designs based on research and insights, including but not limited to user flows, journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and specifications. Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams (engineers, product management, content production) to implement designs. Design Iteration: Participating in various methods of critiquing and evaluating design including usability testing and iterating on designs based on feedback. User Advocacy: Acting as a user advocate to ensure the end product offers a high-quality user experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience designing for consumer facing digital product experiences.

  • A deep passion to think differently and challenge conventional approaches to design.

  • Proven expertise in multiple areas of Digital Product Design including but not limited to Interaction Design, Service Design, Information Architecture, Visual Design, Production Design, Research, and Digital Prototyping.

  • Mastery of design tools including Sketch, Keynote, Photoshop, and various prototyping tools.

  • Ability to build and organize high quality and consistent design artifacts including flow diagrams, journey maps, service blueprints, wireframes, lo and hi-fi mockups, simple prototypes, design specifications, and related documentation.

  • Familiarity with Design Systems best practices and working with branding / style guidelines.

  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills; presentation skills.

  • Experience with accessibility, localization, and internationalization.

  • Experience working on a high performing team, collaborating with product managers, engineers, researchers, leadership, and other key partners.

  • An online portfolio of professional work is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
