The Office of the Governor is looking for a Systems Administrator (Systems Administrator II - III) to work in the Information Services Division (ISD).

What You'll Earn

What You'll Do

This is a job that performs routine to complex (journey-level) user support and systems administration work. Work involves maintaining the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of systems. Installs and upgrades computer components and system software. Provides hardware and software support to agency users.

  • Performs low to mid-level systems administration tasks within ISD.
  • Serves as Tier 1 technical support.
  • Provides and maintains user accounts and access privileges to a variety of applications to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Installs, configures, maintains, and administers computers, laptops, mobile devices, servers, operating systems, and applications.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves system hardware, software, and networking issues; and provides status reports to management.
  • Researches, develops, and documents operating procedures for technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance.

How You'll Qualify

Systems Administrator II

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, management information systems, or a related field; and
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in systems administration work.

Systems Administrator III

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, management information systems, or a related field; and
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in systems administration work.

Note: Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.
