D.R. Horton, Inc.is currently looking for an_Administrative Assistant- DHITIC_. The right candidate will provide general administrative assistance to the Underwriting (UW) Counsel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Complete expense reimbursement requests and following up to ensure payments are issued
  • Plan lunches/dinners with the title offices
  • Confirm dates, ordering food, ensuring delivery and payment (reimbursement)
  • Coordinate trips
  • Responsible to send calendar invites for meetings and events
  • Confirm availability for dates, venues, rooms and related necessities
  • Organize travel arrangements when necessary
  • Ensure all corporate filings are completed on time (managing due dates on calendars)
  • Ensure all industry organizational fees, events are planned and scheduled (TLTA FLTA ALTA, etc.)
  • Assist with CE/CLE courses and education events
  • Coordinate educational events
  • Set up materials/developing classes
  • Obtaining approval from state regulators for classes
  • Process calendar invites for class attendees
  • Process and obtain follow up surveys
  • Report class hours to state regulatory department
  • Research new state guidelines as needed
  • Manage HOI box and return signed policy to agents
  • Coordinate remittance reports
  • Coordinate/Manage policy audit (State specific)
  • Direct incoming phone calls (primarily consumers looking for title branch or contact info for DRH Insurance P&C)
  • Assist in monitoring all group email boxes (FINCEN, HOI, TXUW, FLUW, etc.) to ensure timely responses
  • Assist UW Counsels on their CLE compliance (tracking per state)
  • Maintain escrow knowledge for end of quarter/end of year branch support
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to travel overnight

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three to five years of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
  • The noise level is generally moderate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
