TI Fluid Systems Design Engineer (Job Code: 1025) in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Responsible for providing leadership to a group of designers and motivating them to achieve engineering objectives set forth by the company; design complex engineering products, processes, and equipment, including specifications, assembly and manufacturing sequence, for company products, manufacturing and assembly equipment; lead efficient utilization of labor, material, and equipment under the general direction of engineering management; analyze and make recommendations on unusual and difficult technical problems within the limits of general practices and standards; use CAD and CAE systems extensively, as well as creative problem solving skills, in the accomplishment of alternative design development; work independently on the development of original designs and adaptations of existing designs after having been given general instructions regarding purpose and parameters; utilize CAD, CAE, Teamcenter, Visio, APQP, blow molding design, and injection molding design to perform duties; confer with project engineers and designers on design concepts, parameters, objectives and requirements; perform assignments which consistently require the application of non-standard techniques and practices; use various CAD/CAM/CAE software to prepare preliminary engineering drawings, sketches, and diagrams reflecting basic concept in order to obtain confirmation of approach and technique; lead designers in the accomplishment of projects and assignments; responsible for the design resources that are outsourced internally and externally; and frequently connect with others outside the design group (engineering, plants, customer and vendors).

 

Location: Auburn Hills, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;

 

Salary: $128,543 per year;

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

 

Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a CAE Specialist, as an R&D Designer, as a Test Engineer, or in a related occupation;
