Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager a.k.a. Crane Business Systems (CBS) Manager in Auburn, CA/Vian Enterprises .

As a CBS Manager, you will master Crane’s Strategy Deployment Process (‘SDP’) and menu of lean manufacturing techniques. You will be a part of the development of the company’s strategic plan and be a part of the execution of that plan via SDP. You will also develop mastery of key continuous improvement tools such as Standard Work, Kanban, TPM, 5S, Visual Management, SMED, Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping. After training others on the use of these tools and leading kaizen continuous improvement events, you will be responsible for assisting the organization in its daily use of the tools in both the factory and office.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage the Kaizen Roadmap

  • Coordinate the continuous the continuous improvement activity and team members

  • Facilitate establishment of lean principles throughout the organization, to include coaching to ensure completion of projects

  • Apply CBS tools to identify root causes and develop counter measures

  • Work with business leaders to attain business goals

  • Promote the crane business system through daily passion for continuous improvement and the constant elimination of waste

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree

  • 3-5 years of experience in demonstrated process improvement success.

  • Proven accomplishments utilizing lean tools/methodologies

  • Certified tool champion or plan to complete training for required certification within 12 month period of entering position.

  • Standard work/visual management, transactional, value stream mapping and problem solving.

  • Knowledge in Change management and accounting/finance principles.

  • Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills in a matrix environment

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate all levels of the organization.

  • Strong team formation and leadership skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, to include presentation skills and facilitation of groups toward deliverables

  • Ability to link customer needs and business processes

  • Prefer certified Lean Black Belt or Master Black Belt.

Salary range: $115,000 to $153,000. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
