PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of all parts and equipment on the packaging line and blending areas to maximize run time monitors packaging operations and suggests any mechanical/electrical changes or upgrades that would increase efficiency.

MINIMUN SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS: Mechanical skills and experience: basic and general maintenance, burning and welding operations, predictive maintenance skills, plumbing, rigging, shop equipment and machining operationsElectrical skills, experience and ability to understand relay logic, electrical schematics, perform electrical troubleshooting on AC and DC circuits, VFDs, PLCs, operate computers and man-machine interface equipment. Test circuits, fuses, motor starters and motors.Proficient in operating Shop equipment such as Lathe, End Mill, Welder... rebuilds packaging equipment as needed advises Supervisor on any parts needed for the packaging line.Responsible for preventative maintenance (PM) throughout the Plant including, Fillers, Cappers, Depalletizers, Labelers, Conveyors, etc.. Replace, repair, and/or adjust mechanical parts to include, but not limited to valves, bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, gaskets, seals, regulators, couplings, etc. as needed.Calibrate level and conductivity probes through Wonderware computer software enter minor program changes as needed based on equipment adjustments. Operating and working on facility and equipment using the mechanical, electrical and control skills. Write and Complete work orders satisfactorily and in a timely manner adheres to standard operating procedures (SOP) and follows lockout / tag out procedures.
