Job Summary: The Shipping Clerk accurately picks and packs stock for outgoing shipments. This position will follow all housekeeping and safety standards of BTPS. Duties/Responsibilities: Using handheld scanners, pulls orders from warehouse, sorts and distributes orders to packing area. Packs order for shipment. Labels package for shipment. Moves labeled packages to staging area for pickup by respective carrier. Restocks supplies including boxes, bags, filler materials, etc. Maintains work area via light housekeeping tasks. Follows BTPS policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to operate computer to enter data. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
