About This role:

Seeking a versatile marketing and communications manager (MarCom Manager) to join our team. This position will be responsible for contributing to the development, coordination, and implementation of corporate communications initiatives at Kidde Fenwal, with the primary goal of elevating and promoting the company’s leadership, brand awareness, and offering. This includes developing and executing communications strategies that promote awareness and engagement within the market including end-users and the consulting-specifying engineering community, among our stakeholders, customers, suppliers, vendors, and team members. The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding project management abilities.

This position reports directly to the Director of Product Management & Strategy and collaborates with the full spectrum of Kidde Fenwal Inc. leaders and team members, including sales, customer services, engineering & program management, operations, supply chain, planning, and finance. With primary responsibility for Kidde Fire Systems-Ashland, the MarCom Manager will also support the Fenwal Controls, Ashland, Kidde Fire Protection, UK, and Kidde Fire Systems-India businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development, coordination, and implementation of corporate communications programs at Kidde Fenwal.

  • Creates advertising campaigns to promote the company’s brands, products, and services with end-users, the consulting-specifying engineering community, and channel partners, utilizing a variety of communication mediums, including digital platforms.

  • Creates marketing collateral including white papers, brochures, videos, positioning papers, and technical documentation to support brand and product positioning within the market and with channel partners.

  • Identifies needs and drives attendance at relevant industry and vertical market trade shows; follows up with leads to drive business growth.

  • Establishes and drives business strategies on the web, through e-commerce, and towards social media.

  • Manages and delivers digital or eMarketing activities. May manage appropriate third-party partnerships to support digital and eMarketing initiatives.

  • Provides support for all communications and ensures company-wide standards are used for all client / customer-facing materials.

  • Works closely with key stakeholders to establish objectives and goals for initiatives, including online functionality, design, usability, and measurement of added value or impact.

  • Provides support as needed for materials intended for financial audiences.

  • Create communications materials, including messaging, Q&As, executive memos, and other collateral, representing the corporate voice authentically.

  • Support proactive and reactive media relations.

  • Analyze and identify industry trends, best practices, and emerging risks impacting communications and reporting.

  • Foster relationships with external communications agencies and vendors

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 6+ years of public relations or communications experience – agency or in-house

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or business

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Possess a clear ability to manage multiple projects at once while demonstrating strong composure and flexibility under tight deadlines.

  • Team player, ability to build strong relations internally across functional areas and externally with vendors, suppliers, and other constituents.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with sound judgment and independent decision-making.

  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work independently.

  • Ensures integrated communications approach, considering multiple audiences and communications channels.

  • Ability to travel occasionally as required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
