Your role as a Product Engineer will allow you to serve staff and leaders and help provide creative solutions to drive CPC's short- and long-term goals. Responsibilities Provide engineering support for existing/released product lines Effectively facilitate project teams, ensuring good cross-functional communication Assess business risks and prioritize tasks among multiple projects Serve as the engineering subject matter expert Establish and maintain a visual management tool to provide project status Work with project teams to develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines Provide technical support to customers, as well as a wide array of internal customers including: Sales, Quality, Marketing, Manufacturing, Tooling, Purchasing, and Design Engineering Participate in the identification and prioritization of retool opportunities Review and disposition inspection data Maintain engineering standards and specifications; create and update specifications as required Respond to design related CAPAs Author new procedures and work instructions to support Continuous Improvement culture Initiate and execute engineering change orders, including CAD model/drawing creation and modification Manage product structures/BOMs in ERP system Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Minimum years of experience 2+ years of experience in an engineering setting Minimum education level BS in Engineering or equivalent discipline from an ABET-accredited institution Proficiency in solid modeling and creation of detailed drawings in CAD Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude Innate technical ability and curiosity Ability to apply sound engineering logic to solve complex problems, to properly assess risks, and make decisions accordingly Ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams Strong but respectful verbal communication style Strong aptitude for dealing with multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications Advanced modeling capabilities using PTC Creo CAD Working knowledge of injection molded thermoplastic components, mold design and the influence of molding process parameters Working knowledge of plastics joining technologies Manage difficult complex program management, understand the strategy, and driving decision making process Knowledge of product lifecycles, and VOCs Working knowledge of PTC Windchill Experience performing DFMEA, PFMEA and process DOEs Design of fluid handling components Cleanroom and/or controlled environment manufacturing Technical writing Travel Up to 5% Physical Demands Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, sitting is regularly required; use of hands and fingers, and talk or hear. Reaching is frequently required ith hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and/or stoop. Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
