KLA-Tencor Corporation Customer Support Engineer (YDCSEAA) in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Represents the company to the customer and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with service. Responsible for customer service activities associated with updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of highly complex capital equipment for customers. Assures operational quality of system equipment. Coordinates actions with customers to minimize down time. Provides assistance to Installation engineers in resolving problems. Evaluates, analyzes, diagnoses and troubleshoots technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer site. Ensures equipment enhances customer production. Repairs and updates equipment at customer facility. Prepares fields service reports on customer support activity and provides documentation on re-occurring problems. Contribute to the Capturing, Reuse, Collaboration, and Improvement of knowledge using available systems. Cross train and assist other field service engineers. Utilize engineering knowledge background. May telecommute. Salary range: $111,384-$118,300 per year.

 

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Optics, Physics, or related field and 12 months of experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept 2 years of work experience.
