National Salvage and Service is seeking to hire a General Laborer for the Civil Division.

National is a leading wholesale provider of used railroad ties and new railroad ties and other treated hardwood railroad track products, as well as recycled utility poles.

Job Classification:

  • Non-Exempt

  • Daytime Hours

  • Monday - Saturday

    Essential Job Functions:

  • Experience installing pipes underground.

  • Skilled in covering pipes with earth or other materials

  • Ensure ground is prepped and graded, and trenches dug out for pipes that are safe to be in

  • Dig trenches with shovels

  • Ability to perform repetitive heavy duty labor tasks

  • Other general labor and construction related duties as required

    Qualifications:

  • 1+ years general labor experience

  • 1+ years pipe laying experience

  • Comfortable being part of a team and a team player

  • Demonstrating personal integrity, resilience, and respect for others

  • Strong communication skills

  • Follow OSHA regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures

  • Physical Requirements: Stand, Walk, Climb, Bend, Twist, Move Throughout the Day, Use Hands in Repetitive Motions, Repeat Same Movements, walk on uneven terrain, Lift 50 pounds, Exposed to Loud Noises, and all weather elements.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-offer drug test
