Met Weld engineers and manufactures products in support of Power Generation, Oil & Gas and Nuclear Industries. Met Weld has grown in recent years with the collective commitment of leadership and employees to emphasize Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement.Met Weld has 1st shift openings in our Weld / Fabrication department.Job Requirements:•Knowledge and experience in primarily Spray GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), weld prep and plasma cutting.•Ability to cut, bend, drill, tap, and similar operations as required to fabricate intricate assemblies.•Experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks.•Must be ability to read engineering fabrication drawings, layout, and weld structural fabrications.•Candidate must be able to follow written procedures and work instructions.•2+ years’ experience.•Capable of lifting 30 pounds•Capable of climbing•Able to bend and twist body in various positions.•Able to sit and stand for long periods of time.•Must be able to use two hands and two feet or equivalent to perform the tig welding process.•Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with his or her coworker during assembly procedures.•Must have good vision to control the size of the weld puddle to achieve high quality welds.•Must successfully complete a pre-employment weld test.Compensation: Wage is commensurate with experience.
