Utz Brands Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift in Algona, Washington

Tim's Cascade Snacks, a subsidiary of UTZ Quality Foods is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic in our manufacturing facility in Algona, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs on machinery, and equipment in our facility. Maintenance Mechanic will also be tasked with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, as well as implementing preventative maintenance measures to ensure the smooth operation of our production processes in a safe and efficient manner. If you are a skilled technician looking for an employer who values your experience and expertise, join our team! Key Responsibilities: Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and minor repair of production machines. Must be able to see a project thru from start to finish. Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Perform a variety of minor plumbing maintenance and minor carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Must be able to multitask effectively. Must have the ability to correctly complete all required maintenance documentation. Must be motivated and a self-starter. Ability to assist all departments within the plant with training requirements. Ability to assist in the production of SOP's. Ability to assist in the implementation of required Safety programs. Pay Range: $31.41-$33.03/hour + shift differential of $0.50 for 2nd shift. Requirements: Three to five years' experience in maintenance operations. Experience in food processing, preferred. Detail oriented, organized, reliable, and resourceful. Solid decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Must have a mechanical background. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under constant pressure of production line environment. During the first year of service, hired applicants will earn Paid Time Off in the form of Vacation and Flex PTO at the accrual rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, earning a maximum of 40 hours of Vacation and 40 hours of Flex PTO, for a combined maximum total of 80 hours.
