CHILDRENS HOSPITAL MEDICAL CENTER OF AKRON Scheduler - Private Duty - Home Care in Akron, Ohio

Part Time 24 Hours/Week Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Onsite, 3 days/week Summary: The Scheduler is responsible for ensuring all Private Duty cases are staffed with appropriate personnel within current authorization and for tracking employee and patient/caregiver compliance with scheduling and payroll procedures. Responsibilities: 1.Responsible for ensuring all private duty cases are staffed with appropriate personnel within current authorization. 2.Facilitates communication with patients, patient families/caregivers, clinical office personnel, and field staff. 3.Communicates scheduling concerns to case managers and clinical office personnel. 4.Participates in case conferences as needed. 5.Shares staffing calendars with case managers/oversight agencies as needed. 6.Enters field staff schedules into the payroll system, verifies employee clock-ins/outs, ensures budgeted hours are accounted for, and obtains time exception forms as needed. 7.Enters patient appointments in the EMR, ensures appointments are checked-in, and cancels appointments as needed. 8.Verifies shifts are accounted for in the Electronic Visit Verification System and resolves exceptions as needed. 9.Assists with other home care office duties as assigned. 10.Responsible for sharing after-hours scheduling on-call duties with peers. 11.Other duties as required. Other information: Technical Expertise 1.Experience in customer service or related field is required. 2.Experience in scheduling and/or health care is preferred. 3.Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. 4.Experience working with all levels within an organization is required. 5.Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Education and Experience 1.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 2.Certification: None. 3.Years of relevant experience: 1 to 2 years customer service or related field is preferred. 4.Years of experience supervising: None.
