Job Description

As the groups and reservations administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of group bookings and reservations. Your tasks will involve managing both group and individual guest bookings while also assisting internal teams and external clients. What will I be doing?

  • Consistently deliver a friendly, helpful and inclusive experience to guests and team members.
  • Proactively sense and take action on customer needs and opportunities with the willingness to exceed their expectations.
  • Communicate with both internal and external customers in a polite and constructive manner
  • Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and local area.
  • Maximise all revenue opportunities using suggestive selling and up-selling techniques.
  • Ensure a close working relationship with all Wholesale, FIT and Group bookers to increase groups and tours revenue.
  • Be part of a Business Development team that work with a sale focused attitude and are aware of sales opportunities within the hotel which will assist with the maximisation of revenue.
  • Be aware of all room revenue targets and keep informed of performance results whilst adhering to hotel selling strategies.
  • Adhere to the hotel credit policies to ensure all expected revenues are secured.
  • Maintain corporate profiles and rates, ensuring that all information is up to date and that clients are contacted on a regular basis to ensure repeat business.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a similar administration role or the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Competent in use of computers and IT systems. Previous experience with an integrated property management system such as OnQ is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and provide service recovery.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to priorities tasks effectively.
