RENTECH BOILER SYSTEMS INC Mechanical Engineer in ABILENE, Texas
Specification of Boiler Auxiliary Equipment, including but not limited to:
- Combustion air fans
- Steam turbines
- Electric motors
- Burners
- Emissions control equipment
- Silencing equipment and others as needed
In this fashion the equipment engineer generates data sheets and/or requests for quotations, interfaces with vendors and performs technical evaluations of the equipment proposals. Various engineering calculations:
- For steam and water piping, control valves
- Flow elements and others as needed.
Basic thermodynamic knowledge is necessary. Review and coordination of vendor technical documentation. Home support of field service team as needed for the auxiliary equipment(s). Design of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (PandIds) for boiler system. Various other duties. Travel: 10% estimated.
*Job Qualifications: Ideal candidate has a Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Mechanical Engineers are encouraged to apply. Industry experience is not required but it will be considered a plus. *
