Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Sev1Tech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Lead to join our team and support our customer's cybersecurity operations. As a Cybersecurity Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, conducting risk assessments, managing security incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats.
  3. Monitor security systems for anomalies and respond to security incidents promptly.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance and support.
  5. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the security of networks, systems, and applications.
  6. Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
  7. Evaluate and recommend security tools and technologies to enhance our security posture.
Minimum Qualifications
  • MUST HAVE a DoD Secret; TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI eligibility preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years experience cybersecurity.
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadershipposition.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Highly preferred TS/SCI or Top Secret clearance
  • Advanced degree or cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH)
