本チームは、Android に関するレイヤー 3 以上の全ネットワーク コードの保守を担当しており、また、担当範囲を HTTP ネットワーキングに広げるために、そのスタックを拡張しています。さらに、Google の HTTP スタックを使用して Android への完全な統合を図るとともに、HTTP/3、QUIC、ECH、MASQUE、BPF パケット処理、ハードウェア オフロードなどの技術を活用して、技術スタックの高度な最適化と垂直統合に取り組んでいます。

  • Chromium を省電力、スケジュール、ネットワーク フィルタリングなど、下位レベルの Android ネットワーキングに統合することで、プライバシー、パフォーマンス、バッテリー駆動時間を強化し、信頼性を高める

  • 接続の移行、DNS-over-HTTPS、HTTP/3、Encrypted Client Hello、IPv6 など成熟段階の異なる重要なネットワーク テクノロジーの実装や進化に取り組む。IETF コミュニティ、アプリ デベロッパー、通信事業者、ほかの OS ベンダーと協力して、そうしたネットワーキング テクノロジーのデプロイをサポートする

  • 経験が浅いエンジニアのメンター役を務め、ネットワーキングに関する指導を行う。世界中の Android ユーザーに最適なサービス（高パフォーマンス、低レイテンシ、低コスト、プライバシー確保）を長期的に提供するために、スタックを相互運用して適切に動作させる方法を検討する
