Description

VISTA Technology Services (VISTA) is seeking a Strategic Communications & Public Affairs Analyst to support DISA PEO Cyber (ID) customer located at Ft. Meade, MD. This is a remote position that will be required to meet onsite as needed. Position Requirements

  • Provide expert knowledge, research and analysis, assessment and development, recommendation and implementation support, and documentation in the areas of strategic communication

  • Provide direct execution of a strategic communications plan including development of communication media, content management and editorial services that address strategic objectives of Cyber (ID) program

  • Develop, coordinate and schedule internal and external communications products (briefings, white papers, executive documents, dashboards, websites, etc.) suitable for presentation at the Flag and SES level

  • Provide editorial services to ensure content is polished and directed for specific target audiences

  • Develop executive briefs and materials, slick sheets and Situation Reports (SITREPS) that communicate Cyber (ID) program efforts to executive stakeholders, 4th Estate, DoD, federal and Congressional, and labor union audiences

  • Write and edit articles, press releases and social media posts to highlight program milestones and ongoing success stories and outside publications articulating

  • Develop and produce public affairs materials to include publication articles, press inquiries, conference/seminar briefings

  • Assist with media training

  • Engage with stakeholders and SMEs to collect and develop content and synthesize technical data and requirements to facilitate communication

  • Coordinate, support, and track outside engagement efforts, including speaker and panel participation at trade shows, conferences, education seminars, and leadership forums. Schedule meetings and private briefings with stakeholders and industry at major events for the program manager, deputy program manager, and program leads to maximize their visibility

  • Manage multiple projects using agile methodology and work and collaborate with cross functional multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders in fast paced work environment

  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing to facilitate change and cooperation and resolution of complex issues

Qualifications

  • Master's degree and 15 years of DoD strategic communications and public affairs experience required

  • Professional certification (PMP/PMI, DAWIA, ISO, ITIL, CISSP, CSDP, etc.) or license required

  • 5+ years of experience developing, planning and implementing and tracking progress of strategic communication plans for DoD program

  • 5+ years of relevant technical writing and public affairs experience and working with strategic communications team supporting a DoD program office

  • Advanced MS Office, SharePoint and publishing tools and software skills

  • Experience successfully managing multiple assignments and setting priorities

  • Knowledge of government document development processes and formats

  • Experience providing media training

  • Excellent work management skills, including managing work independently and setting priorities in collaboration with cross functional teams and stakeholders

  • Expertise and skill in engaging and communicating effectively orally and in writing, including the preparation and proficient presentation of briefings and information to senior military and civilians (Flag and SES)
