Planet Technologies Sr. Technical Solutions Architect, Power Platform in United States

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Sr. Technical Solutions Architect. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for leading a team of mid-to-senior developers, determining and architecting cloud-based solutions and working directly with the customer as the subject matter expert/advisor to design and modernize business applications. This role would serve as the technical expert on executive-level projects providing technical and business explanations and justifications for architectural, design, and coding approaches. As the Architect, this role will also be responsible for working directly with the Program Manager to help guide and grow the division.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to assess technical feasibility of requirements, lead solution design, and oversee technical implementation of projects.

  • Develops understanding of functional and nonfunctional requirements.

  • Breaks down development into epics and user stories, and assigns to developers based on skills and requirements.

  • Lead the architectural design and development of end-to-end software solutions, encompassing both front-end and back-end technologies.

  • The Architect will be technical team lead for implementing, supporting and enhancing custom applications using full stack custom development, C#, Power Apps, React, Angular, and SharePoint.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to define project requirements and create technical roadmaps.

  • Design robust, scalable, and maintainable architecture that aligns with the organization's goals and industry best practices.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to ensure optimal performance and efficiency across the entire technology stack.

  • Provide technical guidance to development teams, offering design feedback, and ensuring adherence to architectural standards.

  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, troubleshooting complex issues and proposing solutions to maintain project timelines and quality.

  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in software development, evaluating their potential to enhance the organization's technical capabilities.

  • Works with developers and project managers and is responsible for all aspects of solution design including entity, modeling, security design, and technical documentation.

  • Conducts code reviews and documents best practices.

Skills Required

  • At least 10 years of total IT experience performing complex application development projects on the Microsoft stack working closely with cross-functional Team Members in Agile Development environment.

  • Experience implementing, supporting and enhancing custom applications using full stack custom development, C#, React, Angular, and SharePoint.

  • At least 5 years of hands-on development experience with Power Platform.

  • Hands-on experience architecting solutions that involve custom solutions.

  • Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills.

  • Experience working in an Agile with Scrum environment.
