Vectrus ASB Quality Control Lead (2nd Shift) in Saudi Arabia

Overview

The role of the ASB Quality Control lead is paramount in ensuring the integrity of systems and components across aircraft of varying sizes. Tasked with conducting meticulous inspections, inspectors rely on manuals and checklists provided by manufacturers or the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to assess components before, during, and after repairs and maintenance procedures. Responsibilities extend to performing functional checks to identify maintenance requirements, ensuring all repair work adheres to safety standards, and calibrating inspection tools to precise specifications. Beyond aircraft inspections, inspectors dedicate time to evaluating the repair environment to guarantee worker safety. Collaborating closely with safety personnel and mechanics, they may also communicate findings to manufacturers or the FAA when encountering new issues.

During the 2nd Shift ASB Quality Control Lead e nsures that all related operations are conducted in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document incoming inspection of parts, materials, supplies, and subcontracted work used in the service of articles.

  • Assists QA with monitoring shelf life, calibration, shop cleanliness/organization, food control, etc.

  • Perform inspection duties utilizing engineering drawings and orders, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures and instructions, and other related document.

  • Perform preliminary and progressive inspections of aircraft structure and systems, verify functional operation, final inspections, inspect for FOD and verify paperwork.

  • Witness, verify and document specified manufacturing process steps.

  • Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Three (3) years Quality control inspection experience in aviation.

  • A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) license

  • Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Retains the authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

  • Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.

  • Possess a valid U.S driver’s license and Passport.

  • DD214 required for military experience.

  • Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, background checks, passport etc.

  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a military maintenance unit.

  • Strong knowledge of military logistics procedures and regulations.
