The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role Description

Working with the Source Code Management Team, the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the support, maintenance and administration of the Banks Source Code Management, CICD and "DevOps" tools.

The role requires the DevOps Engineer to work together with team members and technologies to fulfil projects and technical requirements.

The DevOps Engineer will support various development teams across the Americas and EMEA to ensure the tools are operating effectively and the development teams are using the tools in line with best practice and compliance requirements.

The role requires a high level of skills to support consumers of the tools, providing technical guidance and leadership across the organization.

Role Objectives

• Lead the design, implementation, maintenance and ongoing support of Microsoft Enterprise GitHub.

• Lead the design, implementation, maintenance and ongoing support of Sonatype and SonarQube cloud migration.

• Participate in the design, implementation, maintenance and ongoing support of Bitbucket cloud migration.

• Participate in the administration and support of the SCM tools and CICD tools, including Atlassian collaboration tools, Confluence and Jira.

• Implement operational efficiencies through automation.

• Drive the adoption of Source Code Management and Development best practices.

• Identify and resolve performance and technical problems and make decisions that enhance tool effectiveness for consumers.

• Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational and team goals

• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities and multiple projects.

• High degree of initiative, sense of urgency and flexibility as requirements can change on a regular basis. 

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Required: BS Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• 7+ years experience in CI/CD tools (cloud or on-prem)

• 5+ years experience in Unix/Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.

• 5+ years scripting experience (ie Bash, Python, Groovy, PowerShell, JavaScript)

• Experience in designing and implementing an enterprise CI/CD strategy.

• Experience in SCM, CI/CD and collaboration tools including Perforce, UrbanCode, Azure Devops, Enterprise Github, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye, Crucible, Sonatype, SonarQube

• Experience supporting and administrating Atlassian Jira Cloud (certifications would be an advantage)

• Experience implementing and administering opensource scanning tools such as Sonatype or Snyk.

• Experience implementing and administering code analysis tools such as SonarQube or Contrast.

• Experience of working in agile teams using Scrum or other agile methodology would be an advantage.

• Experience using Azure CI/CD YAML Pipelines experience is desirable.

• Experience using OpenShift pipelines is desirable.
