Job Description:

  • We are seeking a passionate and innovative person to join our ME Sound Design team in Logitech. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate who is eager to contribute to the research and development of digital sound for mechanical keyboards. As a Digital Sound Engineering Trainee, you will be a key member of our R&D team, focusing on the creation and implementation of digital sound for mechanical keyboards. You will be involved in all aspects of sound design, from initial concept creation to final product testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sound design with overall product development.

  • Design and synthesize innovative sound effects to enhance user experience for various keyboard actions..

  • Conduct subjective and objective sound quality evaluations, including electroacoustic assessments.

  • Develop distinctive alert tones and auditory cues to facilitate intuitive user experience.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in sound engineering and sound design.

  • Assist in the development of sound algorithms for dynamic sound effects.

  • Contribute to the creation of audio-related documentation and standards for product development.

  • Participate in user testing and research to gather insights and feedback on sound features.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Acoustics, Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of acoustic principles and audio signal processing techniques.

  • Proficiency in audio editing software and digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Ableton Live, or Logic Pro.

  • Familiarity with sound synthesis techniques and sound effect plugins.

  • Creative thinking with an ear for sound aesthetics and a passion for innovative user-centric sound design.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment..

  • Passion for sound innovation and a desire to create engaging soundscapes for users.

Additional Skills (Preferred but Not Required):

  • Experience with audio programming languages (e.g., Max/MSP, Pure Data, Csound) and MIDI controllers.

  • Knowledge with interactive audio and middleware solutions (e.g., FMOD or Wwise).

  • Understanding of psychoacoustics, sound perception, and user experience design principles.

  • Previous involvement in sound-related projects or internships during academic studies.
