Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Manager , Material Review Board (MRB) who will work directly with the Aerostructures Global MRB manager to ensure best practices are developed and deployed across the Value Streams and Manufacturing sites. You will provide expertise between the organization and both internal/external customers to ensure their requirements and expectations are satisfied. You will be responsible for driving the deployment of strategic MRB initiatives across the Aerostructures organization, by collaborating with leaders across all Asian and European sites and value streams. In addition to supporting key initiatives, you will lead and integrate individuals and teams in global locations.

This position will work in a hybrid capacity , located near one of our APAC sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to identify resource needs, to help teams, to attract and retain employees.

  • MRB team members development.

  • Identify and support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.

  • Provide guidance to the MRB, Engineering, Quality and Program Leaders across all programs and European and Asian sites Collaborate with all functions of the organization to continuously improve the Aerostructures MRB process.

  • Provide expertise and participate in the deployment and improvement of process improvement tools and methods.

  • Assist in the review and approval of specific quality documents, such as Quality/MRB Plans.

  • Participation and preparation for customer, third party regulatory and internal audits.

  • Lead MRB Process Reviews and improvements using continuous improvement tools.

  • Create and maintain visual controls for management status meetings.

  • Review MRB metrics to identify adverse trends and create/deliver impactful presentations to all levels of the organization and customers.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Travel up to 20% to support multiple global manufacturing sites.

  • Experience in Aerospace MRB discipline.

  • Experience leading or managing teams across multiple locations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified MRB.

  • Experience with aircraft nacelles using composite and metallic structures and its manufacturing processes.

  • Experience with composite and metallic repairs on aircraft nacelles.
