Opportunity:

BASIC FUNCTION

As an NPD Program Manager, you will be accountable for the coordinated organization, strategy, direction and implementation of a portfolio of projects and activities that together align with the business needs and achieve outcomes / realize benefits that are of strategic importance. Executed the New Product Schedule utilizing cross-functional resources and the NPD process for commercial and bathing category.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordination and Project Management of New Product Development projects/ Migration Projects.

1.Autonomously manage the development process and communicate to senior management on a variety of processes and technical issues within each program. Has respected knowledge of major system components. Anticipates and manages tasks/risks within each project.

  1. Lead cross functional teams through the development of a project timeline and maintain it throughout the life of the project. Periodically present the status of the project to management.

  2. Defines decision-making process for project teams. Coaches project team personnel to develop and implement cross-functional solutions to complex issues.

  3. Facilitate and coordinate program activities supporting the Business teams in driving decision.

  4. Provide performance expectations and evaluation for cross-functional resources on project teams provided input to the appropriate supervisor and will have equal weight with that of functional performance expectations and evaluations.

  5. Guide the team to develop new products that meet cost targets. Create preliminary product cost estimates in conjunction with engineering.Primarily responsible for the accuracy of preliminary cost estimates and final costing of products.

  6. Support Marketing and ID team during CR(Concept Review) & DR (Design Review process) by liaising with Engineering and Manufacturing team to drive cost and budget estimates and project feasibility study

  7. Work with Dept Heads and resource managers to get resource allocated for the projects.

  8. Manage the collection of project data for NPD process gate exits and release for shipment documents.

  9. Facilitate team meetings and record meeting minutes.

Skills/Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (or other applicable four-year degree) and a minimum of 12 years of experience in Program / Project management, product design, process engineering or manufacturing engineering. Alternately 8-10 years of experience and proven ability to execute projects in Matrix organization.

  2. Experience in managing large scale programs, working in cross-functional team environment,

3.Strong organizational and communication skills required.

  1. Be flexible to address project management needs for any projects within Global portfolio as they arise and can work under high pressure situations.

  2. Strong leadership and analytical skill

  3. Experience on MS Project / Teams / Project Online or other Project Management software.

  4. MBA / PMP / Prince 2 certification would be added advantage.

  5. Travel required 15% to 20% as part of the role visiting Kohler and Vendor facility basis project needs.
