As a UX Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting this exceptional user experience, ensuring a stress-free and accurate time & pay solution for all Amazonians.

The ideal candidate is someone with a passion for customers, strong communication skills, and the ability to focus on big experience initiatives at the same time as crucial details. They are comfortable presenting and articulating design reasoning with data to directors and stakeholder teams, and working through implementation details with tech teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Craft end-to-end user journeys across desktop, mobile, and native apps (iOS & Android) with low, medium, and high-fidelity mockups/wireframes.

  • Collaborate closely with product and business teams to define user needs, high-level requirements, and use cases.

  • Responsibly and effectively advocate for customers and impart day-to-day strategic user experience leadership.

  • Understand the end to end customer journey, the friction points within, and how your proposed CX solution impacts that path and others.

  • Champion user-centered design throughout the entire project lifecycle: discovery, concept design, and launch.

  • Foster a collaborative environment, sparking creativity and driving innovation with cross-functional partners.

  • Raise the design bar – conduct UX audits and UXQA to ensure optimal user experience.

  • Regularly present design work to peers, stakeholders, and leadership for feedback and approval.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design experience

  • 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience

  • Have an available online portfolio

  • Experience prototyping (HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash or Flash Catalyst, or Axure)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of mass-market consumer web / mobile products experience

  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
