Department/Group Overview:

The Disney Advertising Sales Account Executive will be focused on growing overall programmatic revenue with a focus on mid-market clients across the Disney portfolio of properties including: ABC, ABC News, ABC Owned Television Stations, Disney+, ESPN, Freeform, FX, Hulu & Nat Geo for their defined region.

Job Summary:

As an Account Executive at Disney, you will be focused on driving revenue from mid-market Agencies & regional client direct Trading Desks, Linear & Addressable TV buying teams, Demand Side Platforms and those clients who have chosen to bring Programmatic Buying in-house. This position will act as the day-to-day point of contact for all Disney programmatic sales efforts. Through partnership with sales and the client, this position will oversee all aspects of campaign implementation from initial engagement to interpretation of results in order to provide the following services below.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Act as subject matter expert and consultant to our clients to maximize addressable and automated revenue within your dedicated agency, industry vertical Build on the strengths of the Disney portfolio of product offerings with a focus on new business while renewing and up-selling existing clients

  • Meet and exceed sales goals for Disney Ad Sales Addressable Team

  • Prepare proposals and respond to RFP’s with a high degree of professionalism, quality and in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with Disney Ad Sales Operations, Marketing, Research, and Revenue Yield Management to ensure client’s needs are being fulfilled

  • Develop pro-active sales strategies and sales plans for assigned accounts within your respective region

  • Create and deliver powerful and persuasive presentations to clients

  • Prospect, identify and qualify new clients across Disney’s various portfolios

  • Stay current on video advertising trends and innovations, especially within assigned region

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Required

  • 5+ years required; 6 years preferred of media sales experience

  • Extensive agency and industry vertical including DSP, SSP and Agency trading team contacts within the assigned region.

Minimum & Preferred

  • Proven strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and translate it into specific and measurable tactics, actions, and outcomes.

  • Problem solver with the ability to collaborate and work across functions.

  • Understanding of how our clients set priorities and performance goals, and how we can align our product portfolio to best fulfill those needs

  • Extensive knowledge on how programmatic/digital media is bought and sold, including fluency in ad tech

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task, make decisions and manage at entrepreneurial speed

  • Strong, confident presentation skills

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $162,300 - $198,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
