UnitedHealth Group Mental Health Therapist - Rockford, IL in Rockford, Illinois

As a Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) or Licensed Clinical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical services to patients in an in-person, office-based environment. This position is within our Refresh Mental Health (RMH) organization at KP Counseling, which provides a variety of behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, school, and intensive outpatient programs.

We are currently seeking Pre-Licensed therapists (LSW, LPC) for our Rockford, IL location. This is field based position with time spent between our center, Rockford Christian 20 hours per week and Winnebago High School 8 hours per week. The schedule is Monday – Thursday and does require 1 evening of availability.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides mental, behavioral, and/or psychological treatment services or therapy directly to patients utilizing a variety of treatment methodologies

  • Services/treatment/therapy may be provided in individual or group environments and may be provided virtually or in person

  • Assists patients and their families to change behaviors and to locate and access interpersonal, family and community resources to manage their health and well-being

  • In a team setting, may also provide community education and awareness and/or consultation to staff members and other health care professionals regarding methods/approaches to help patients recognize and overcome barriers to health and well-being

  • Analyzes and investigates

  • Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise

Required Qualifications:

  • LSW or LPC in IL

  • 1+ years of clinical experience in counseling

  • Experience with children, adolescents, and teens

  • Medicare provider experience

  • Willing to provide therapy in a school setting

  • Willing to work at least one evening until 8pm
