Serco Ops Research Analyst ORSA - SME in Rock Island, Illinois

Position Description

Serco has a great opportunity for you to take a role as part of the Global Logistics Augmentation and Staff Support (GLASS) team in supporting the Army Sustainment Command at Rock Island, IL. Join an integrated government-industry team in support of multiple program functions. Specific tasks include the following: Operations and Plans, Desk Officer, ORSA, Training and Exercise, Automation/Database Management and Cost Management Support Services. You will provide a wide range of customer requirements in the Army supply systems and operations. Use your expertise and collaborative skills to positively impact our national defense and make a difference in the world’s greatest Army.

This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer a Secret clearance.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities in advanced methodological approaches, and advanced business process optimization in the following areas:

  • Doctrine, Organization, Training, Leadership, Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) spectrum and beyond.

  • Effectively identify complex challenges and opportunities within Army Sustainment Command (ASC) systems.

  • Development of comprehensive solutions and incorporating these capability solutions into ASC’s software and workflows.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree

  • US Citizenship

  • 10 years of experience in advanced analysis/analytics using appropriate mixed methods that utilize the following to produce algorithms and/or business process recommendations that improve readiness and reduce costs including, but not limited to:

  • Demonstrated formal education, Training, and Proven past performance experience

  • Ability to maintain and transfer an active Secret Clearance

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Technical Experience in the scripting language R programming, experience writing R programming language packages, web application development in Shiny and experience interacting with databases using Structured Query Language (SQL).

  • Experience in time series analysis and forecasting, advanced multivariate regression, including Probitand Logit Models, systems dynamics modelling, Bayesian inference procedures, minimax procedures (Statistical), subjective probability utilization, expected utility analysis, operational risk analysis and uncertainty evaluation.

  • Experience in multi-criteria decision analysis, qualitative comparative analysis, causal mapping, formal game theory, minimax procedures (game theory), decision architecture, systems architecture analysis, organizational analysis and structural reform, supply chain analysis and multinational best practices (military and industry) evaluation.

  • Master’s degree in one of the listed disciplines Data Science, Operations Research, Government Analytics, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Management Science, Operational Analysis, Operations Management, Statistics, Systems Management, or related technical degree.
