Penske Senior Digital Product Manager in Reading, Pennsylvania

Position Summary:

The Senior Digital Product Manager is an exciting new role at Penske and will be responsible for delivering digital products and services to Penske’s (internal and external) customers. This role offers an opportunity to assume a leading role in the development of new customer-facing technology and to help Penske maintain a digital leadership position in the transportation industry.

The Senior Digital Product Manager will bring significant digital product management experience to the team. The Product Manager has an in-depth knowledge of multiple agile methodologies, and the experience to modify the approach to fit the needs of the business and the individual team. The Product Manager has experience communicating with both technical and non-technical team members effectively.

The Product Manager will act as the voice of the customer to the organization for their product. The ability to interact with customers effectively and translate that feedback into a product vision and executable product roadmap is integral to the position.

The Senior Digital Product Manager will also be a mentor to less experienced Product Managers. The ability to communicate existing best practices to other members of the marketing team is critical. The Senior Product Manager should be able to translate existing business knowledge and processes from other industries to strength Penske’s existing expertise.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work side-by-side with developers and designers as part of a cross-functional team to define, prioritize, and deliver digital products that meet the needs and goals of the business.

  • Work directly with internal and external customers to clearly understand their needs.

  • Define the product vision based on customer needs.

  • Sell the product vision to all levels of Penske leadership to ensure prioritization and funding of the product.

  • Coordinate with other internal stakeholders (Communication, Customer Success, IT, PR) to ensure that product releases have comprehensive rollout plans to support the launch of new features.

  • Mentor existing Product Managers on best practices for Product Management and Agile approaches.

  • Other projects as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, concentration in Computer Science, Marketing or equivalent field preferred.

  • Master's degree preferred

  • Certifications in Agile, Product Management, Project Management preferred

  • Product Management, Digital Transformation or equivalent required

  • 6 years of experience with Software Development or Leading Digital Product Development required

  • Agile Experience required.

  • Experience launching new Products required.

  • Experience as an Agile Trainer preferred

  • Digital Software Development experience preferred

  • Digital Software Design/UX experience preferred

  • Advanced level Product Management experience required

  • Advanced level of Software Development experience required

  • Some level of UI/UX Design experience preferred

  • Some level of Project Management experience preferred

  • QA Capabilities preferred

  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
