Job Purpose

The Project Manager will contribute to projects in EnerSys's three lines of business: Energy Systems, Specialty Transport, and Motive Power. The ideal PM brings value through their immediate project ownership, exemplary team leadership, and stakeholder relations skills. This position reports to the Director of Program Management Engineering. A PM is responsible for the simultaneous management of multiple projects throughout the product life cycle by tracking project progress and reporting results to core team members and other stakeholders. Primary objectives are to manage scope, timing, quality, and financial outcomes of projects from start to finish. A PM acts as the primary point of communication within a project and possesses the instinct for proactive risk management. The PM is not only a manager but is also an exemplary leader who creates a positive and cooperative work environment for their team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Owns Project Management through complete product life cycle from concept, product development, supplier selection, launch, post-production performance, and lessons learned utilizing EnerSys's Global Product Development Process (GPDP). Lead cross-functional Project Teams, within a matrix environment, successfully driving projects to completion. Define project scope, milestones, timing, and resource allocation. Coordinate and lead core team meetings, design reviews, milestone reviews, and stakeholder engagement Monitor and control all project deliverables while continually identifying and addressing project issues or risks. Manage project performance, budget, and risk, while communicating market needs, engineering status, and project requirements Serve as the primary point of communication between project team and stakeholders to cohesively align with other departments. Actively listens, understands, and identifies needs to develop credibility, loyalty, trust, and commitment. Possesses the interpersonal skills to develop key stakeholder relations including those with senior management and leadership. Utilizes negotiation tactics to resolve conflicts to ensure success is achieved with minimal risk to project objectives.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in a related field. 1-3years of project management or related experience Demonstrated capability leading limited to medium projects and teams. Evidence of increasing responsibility leading teams in product engineering or operations Experienced in Microsoft Office; (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Knowledge of product lifecycle and development Ability to handle project scope, budget, or team changes within a high priority project. Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships amongst team members. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related technical field. Experience in lithium ion, lead-acid, or other battery technology Experience in design, testing, manufacturing, and/or process control Global experience/exposure APQP, PMP experience Knowledge of various PLM systems Exposure to Agile, Scrum, etc. methodologies Exposure to Change Management #CRP
