Job Purpose and Impact

The Environmental Health and Safety Intern will implement environmental health and safety management programs, tailored for a refinery workplace. In this role, you will follow established key deliverables and EHS engineering focus programs for a successful implementation of health and safety programs. You will apply engineering techniques to contribute and succeed.

Key Accountabilities

  • Learn and use the learning to deliver other key accountabilities listed in the following below.

  • Assess and identify opportunities to improve existing risk related to Hazardous materials, Mobile Powered Equipment as well to Energy Isolation standard.

  • Contribute towards generation of ideas, execution plan and improvement programs to impact the program of key risk - Hazardous materials, Mobile Powered Equipment as well to Energy Isolation.

  • Support with basic administrative task to drive efficiency to deployed programs related to Hazardous materials, Mobile Powered Equipment as well to Energy Isolation.

  • Collaborate with other function’s field workers in establishing risk assessment document and their following communication.

  • Assist environmental health and safety related records and reporting.

  • Assist basic issues and problems - while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • All key accountabilities above will be under direct supervision of supervisor in charge, and supported by applicable process engineer / production engineer.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently undergoing Bachelor’s degree in Engineering focus (Chemical engineering will be an added advantage)

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply.
