Perform lab specimen pick-ups and deliveries to FirstHealth entities in a timely manor following the designated route while being mindful of expected arrival and delivery times. Position requires driver to drive a hospital owned vehicle in all types of weather and at all times of the day. Will spend much of the time driving short and long distances as well as getting in and out of the vehicle many times throughout the work shift. This is a Temporary Position Responsibilities: Perform lab specimen pick-ups and deliveries to FirstHealth entities in a timely manor following the designated route while being mindful of expected arrival and delivery times. Effectively communicate among entities delays in expected arrival times. Ability to work split shifts if necessary. Available to be on-call during the night and on weekends. Manage and maintain specimen integrity throughout the transport process Complete training for laboratory safety Qualifications High School graduate. Must be 21 years of age to qualify for driving privileges. Must have a valid NC drivers license with a good driving history. Must be flexible to work any shift.
