What You’ll Get to Do:

In support of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), you will be an important member of a dynamic group of procurement administrators tasked with supporting the agency-wide acquisition initiatives. Initial responsibilities will include the successful closeout of complex and simple contracts in accordance with FAR 4.804 along with NASA supplements and other guidance.

More About the Role:

As part of our team you will:

  • Analyze current closeout workloads and procedures, and then identify, develop, and implement process improvements that result in a more efficient, accurate, and compliant closeout process with enhanced analytic reporting capabilities.;

  • Collect and prepare all documentation and perform all non-inherently governmental functions necessary for closeout;

  • Track metrics on all assigned actions as required throughout contract performance; and report thorough and accurate data to senior government officials and systems. Procurement Instruments may include Indefinite Delivery Vehicles, Master Blanket Purchase Agreements, and large or small purchases that require Desk Audits, determination of Final Indirect Rates, or analysis of Certified Cost and Pricing data or other than certified data; and

  • You may also be responsible for assisting with workload assignment and for guiding or training junior closeout specialists and other team members, in addition to contributing to overall process improvement.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Typically has a Bachelor’s degree or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent work experience; however, for this specific role the following is desired:

  • One (1) to eight (8) years of relevant experience in federal contracting.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience in contract closeout, cost and price analysis, and/or cradle-to-grave contract administration.
