Planate Management Group LLC AutoCAD Drafter in Olongapo, Philippines

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other federal agencies, all over the world.

The AutoCAD Drafter is a part-time position that will support the Global Technical Support Center in providing detailed drawing support to all engineering and architectural disciplines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Engineers and Architects for exchanges of information related to the scope of work

  • Interpret, analyze and follow standards required by the project

  • Prepare detailed drawings, working plans, and presentation graphics from notes, verbal instructions, and rough or detailed sketches

  • Recommend drafting standards to be used

  • Assist with the development of CAD system

  • Orient newly hired drafting staff on the CAD standards and the QA System

  • Maintaining drawings within the relevant standards and accurate production of work

  • Review drafting output before forwarding it to engineers

  • Has an appreciation of project costs.

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Degree in Engineering or any related course.

  • At least 6 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position

  • Must be proficient with architectural, civil, mechanical, and electrical plans, must be knowledgeable of engineering tables, plans, and specifications, and must have working knowledge of computer networks

  • Experience with AutoCAD 2012 or the latest version

  • Familiarity with military programming rules and documentation is desirable

  • Must be a resident of Olongapo, Zambales or nearby towns.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of management

  • Proficient in English both oral and written.
