Planate Management Group LLC Accounting Specialist in Olongapo, Philippines

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for performing and managing various daily accounting operations, ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed. You will also collaborate with your colleagues on the creation of new financial models and the improvement of existing ones to maximize revenue and profits.

Our office is located in Subic, Zambales.

Key responsibilities:

  • Report validation (Inventory, Sales Report, Cash Collections, Purchases).

  • Payroll Processing including related government remittances, vacation/sick leave monitoring including payout and payslip.

  • Accounts Payable Processing.

  • Government Reporting.

  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts for proper adjusting entries.

  • Review and analyze invoices and other financial documents.

  • Perform bank reconciliation and process business transactions.

  • Prepare daily financial reports and participates in weekly team meetings with executives.

  • Work collaboratively with other accounting officers within the organization.

  • Analyze, initiate, and implement best practices and procedures in the accounting department.

  • Establish accounting controls to generate various financial reports.

  • Analyze financial performance and day-to-day tasks.

  • Establish financial controls to reduce costs.

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Business Management; Preferably a CPA.

  • At least 5 years experience in a related field.

  • Has a good understanding of Financial and Accounting Principles.

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

  • Results-oriented.

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in Accounting Software System.

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).

  • Strong English communications skills (verbal and written).

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an attention to detail.

  • Must be willing to work onsite in our office in Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
