The role

We are currently seeking a Laboratory Assistant and Technician to join the team in the Newcastle region. The focus of this role will be using specialised equipment and performing manual handling tasks to prepare coal samples and laboratory testing. You will also be involved in the simulation of coal production processes in order to test the properties of coal samples.

Full training will be provided as well.

What’s needed?

Ideally you will have previous experience and the following skillsets:

  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks

  • Previous laboratory or sample preparation experience in any field would be well regarded but is not essential

  • Certificate III or IV in Laboratory skills (preferred but not required)

  • A methodical and well organised approach to your work.

  • Reliable and able to work shift work, weekends and overtime as required.

Live locally in the Newcastle region and hold a valid NSW driver’s license

Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing will be a requirement of working on site.
