Engineer Technical Writer

SUMMARY:

The Technical Writer is a Senior professional with deep knowledge and highly developed expertise in designing and developing documentation needs on key initiatives. Documentation will include reviewing and rewriting ok key document as well as authoring new documentation from scratch.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor of Science in Material or Mechanical Engineering with 5 or more years related experience (manufacturing environment preferred).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical design review preferred.

  • Proficient with Computer assisted design (CAD), Solid work or equivalent.

  • Proficient with Microsoft \Officer or related software.

  • Mechanical and documentation aptitude preferred.

  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Must be able to speak and write in Spanish and English.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Over 5 years of experience in designing 3D drawing documentation for mechanical part such as plastic mold.

  • Interface with Design and manufacturing sites to gather and develop new documentation and specification.

  • Procure clear and concise documentation including specifications for Navojoa molding area.

  • Make any changes to the technical review summary report in a timely manner.

  • Produce edited documents for review.

  • Revise documents to incorporate any requested changes.

  • Write technical documentation on plastic molds using AutoCad, Solid Works or any other 3D design software.

  • Create assembly models, 3D drawings and concept as required.

  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
