Description

Senior Customs Operations Lead is a part of Amazon’s internal Customs Brokerage Operation.

The Operations Lead is a technically competent, hands-on driver of process change and high-

level Compliance and Classification determination. The Lead is responsible for advice and

guidance for our Customs Brokerage Entry Team. Beyond our Customs Team, it is critical this

position builds strong client relationships as a proactive business partner resulting in his/her

being a solution provider. The Lead anticipates client needs and educates on Tariff Classification

and Compliance requirements

Key job responsibilities

Our Classification Lead serves to support for our Customs Brokerage Entry Team with technical

Customs advice and decision making. The Lead will make daily determinations on Customs

Entries based on shipment details and guide the Entry Team to make compliant Entry decisions

while keeping a Customer Obsessed mindset. As such, this position will have regular contact

with our customers to explain and assist with gathering additional details needed for Customs

Entry into the United States

Basic Qualifications

Licensed Customs Broker

*Customs Audit and Compliance Experience Focused on Harmonized Tariff Classification

Determination

*Skilled at analyzing current procedures then developing and executing new processes.

*Ability to effectively balance Compliance, Customer and Business needs

Preferred Qualifications

Prior Experience Leading a Customs Brokerage Team or prior experience Managing

Customs Brokerage or Import Operations.

*Bachelor’s Degree in related Field

*Project Management Experience

*Change Management Experienc
